ECS notification

As an exporter or forwarder, you simply send Portbase five basic items of information about your shipment for export via the service ECS notification:

• Booking number
• Container number
• MRN (Movement Reference Number)
• Gross weight of shipment
• Document type

These items of information form the basis for terminals and shipping companies/shipbrokers to quickly and efficiently send the arrival at exit and the exit manifest for your cargo. No further action is required from you. Shortly afterwards, you will receive the confirmation of exit from Customs. Your export declaration is thereby validated and your administration correct.
