Ready to become part of the largest port community in Europe?
The Port Community System (PCS) functions as the central gateway where the port community can exchange logistical data. Portbase offers more than 40 smart IT solutions that make it possible to connect every link in the logistical chain. Simple, efficient and reliable.
Before you can request a Portbase service, you must first have a personal IAMconnected account. IAMconnected is a platform within Portbase which guarantees safe, convenient around-the-clock access to the service(s) you have purchased. More information on IAMconnected is available here.
If you already have a personal IAMconnected account, you can log in directly via the button below. Important: Your IAMconnected account must be linked to your organisation in order for you to request a service. If this is not yet the case, you can arrange this within the IAMconnected platform. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
In just 7 steps, you can create a personal IAMconnected account with Portbase, register your organisation and link the organisation to your account. By doing so, you will automatically be assigned the role of administrator for your organisation. Once you have successfully completed these steps, you can request a service right away.
The adjacent figure contains a step-by-step plan that explains the registration process. When you click the image, the step-by-step plan will open in a new tab.
The registration process involves a number of different roles. The following gives an idea of who does what and when in the process, as well as the specific actions they must carry out*.
* The situations described here are 3 examples to illustrate the registration process. It is naturally possible that your situation will be different.
This is the person who is logged into their personal IAMconnected account, who is submitting a request for registration on behalf of the organisation that employs them. This request is then evaluated by the authorised signatory and Portbase. Important: The requesting party will automatically be assigned the role of administrator.
The requester is responsible for ensuring their data is submitted correctly, for registering their organisation and for appointing an authorised signatory.
The authorised signatory is the person who – acting on behalf of the organisation – grants the requesting party permission to register the organisation and to link it with their personal IAMconnected account. In many cases, this is the founder/CEO of the organisation in question.
* It is possible for you to be both the requesting party (and later, the administrator) and the authorised signatory.
The authorised signatory bears final responsibility for ensuring both the organisation and the users are correctly registered within IAMconnected.
Once the request for registration from an organisation has been approved by the authorised signatory, the requesting party will automatically become the administrator. The administrator has an important role within IAMconnected.
The administrator evaluates connection requests from users, manages the data and is authorised to make changes. It is therefore vital that an active administrator is assigned in IAMconnected.
Multiple users may be linked to an organisation. Each user must have their own personal IAMconnected account. Any user can request a service once they have successfully completed the registration process.
Each user must connect their account to the organisation. The administrator receives these connection requests. When there are many users at an organisation, the administrator can appoint a user manager to help process the connection requests.
