This automatic check ensures that only the correct driver is allowed access to the terminal.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rwgservices.rwg.nl\/Publish\/NewsDetails?guid=1b424f29-617e-4832-a514-116edb06fb17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read more in this article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The check is done by comparing the EAN number on the driver&#8217;s CargoCard with the EAN number in the pre-notification made via the Portbase service&nbsp;Hinterland Container Notification (HCN) by the carrier. Only if both numbers match, the driver can proceed. EAN numbers are issued by Secure Logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What changes?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>As soon as you authorise another carrier (also called charter or subcontractor) to pick up the container &#8211; you must indicate this in your pre-notification in HCN in the field \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/support.portbase.com\/hc\/en-gb\/articles\/28689078877842-Start-with-Hinterland-Container-Notification-Road\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">executing charter<\/a>\u2019.
