Following a successful pilot with a number of container-shipbrokers and bulk agents, Cargo Declaration Import 2.0 is scheduled to go live. On 1 February, we will automatically migrate all clients to Cargo Declaration Import 2.0. This means that for all vessel visits scheduled on or after this date, you will need to declare the import cargo in the updated service. The service will appear as a separate tab next to the tabs for Vessel Notification and Notification Dangerous Goods.<\/p>\n

Cargo Declaration Import via a system interface<\/strong>
\nYou will still be able to submit your IFTMCS messages as you were accustomed to doing. The content of the message will not have changed. We will process the messages automatically in the updated service.
\nIt is also possible to arrange an API link to the service. This offers an alternative to the EDI messages and email notifications, but also allows the parties involved to receive updates from MRNs, discharge confirmations (including overlanded and shortlanded) and status reports from Customs via the API connection. \n\u2022 Offers you comprehensive oversight of your vessel and cargo declarations, all on a single screen.
\n\u2022 You can easily look up the who, what and when of any declaration, as well as when the declarations were accepted by Customs.
\n\u2022 The service will automatically<\/strong> determine whether an ENS and\/or ATO must be submitted to Customs. In cases when an ENS is needed first, once Customs has approved that ENS, an ATO will then automatically<\/strong> be submitted to Customs as well.
\n\u2022 You can send an update to Customs at any time<\/strong>
\n\u2022 The possibility of an API link
\nThis update has also been applied to the services Discharge List, Discharge Confirmation Report, Discharge Information and Cargo Declaration Status Report. What’s more, the benefits provided by these services will work in combination with the updated Cargo Declaration Import as well.<\/p>\n

The new and improved Cargo Declaration Import offers scalability and flexible cloud-based availability, meaning it has the ability to optimally facilitate new developments such as the European Maritime Single Window environment and the European Import Control System 2.0. And all of this is done while maintaining the most up-to-date security standards. Cargo Declaration Import forms a cornerstone of Portbase’s services. Because various data elements are reused in other Portbase services, they supply added value in terms of speed, transparency and efficiency further along in the logistical chain.<\/p>\n
