The Transit Declaration service has been improved for the use of seal numbers. Following a customer request, the service now better reflects the permit your organisation has received from Customs:
• Providing a seal number is no longer mandatory by default. Whether this is required depends on your organisation’s permit.
• Please determine yourself, based on the permit, whether a seal number needs to be reported (Portbase cannot verify this information).
• Are you creating a new consignment from the ATO? You can now choose not to copy seal numbers.
• This means you no longer need to manually remove this information afterwards.
With this update, we reduce manual work and better align with day-to-day practice and permit conditions.
