Rotterdam, 2 November 2026 – Portbase and STC have renewed their partnership to better prepare students for a port and logistics sector that is rapidly digitalising. By bringing education and practice closer together, students and lecturers gain access to up-to-date knowledge, systems and insights that are essential for the logistics industry of today and tomorrow.
As part of the renewed partnership, Portbase supports STC’s educational programmes by providing access to the Port Community System (PCS), guest lectures by industry experts and knowledge sharing on digital supply chain processes. This approach enables students to gain a broader understanding of the digital infrastructure that plays a central role in Dutch port logistics.
The logistics sector is facing major challenges in the areas of digitalisation, collaboration and information exchange. To prepare future professionals for these developments, it is important that education remains closely aligned with industry practice. The partnership between Portbase and STC contributes to this by giving current developments and practical experience a fixed place within educational programmes.
