Road hauliers and barge operators to start prenotifying with Broekman Distriport via Portbase

As a road haulier and barge operator, as of Wednesday 26 April 2023, you can prenotify visits and containers with an ETA from 07:00 a.m. on 1 May 2023 via Portbase’s Hinterland Container Notification (HCN) Road and Barge service. After prenotification, you will automatically receive container status information from 07:00 a.m. on 1 May 2023, so preventing unnecessary transport movements. This will confirm HCN’s status as your central gateway to the entire port. In order to be able to connect to HCN Road and Barge, the terminal is switching to a new Terminal Operating System (TOS), which means the terminal will be operationally closed from 10:00 p.m. on Friday 28 April 2023 for the land side, and from 11:30 p.m. for the water side, until 7:00 a.m. on Monday 1 May 2023.

Hinterland Container Notification Road & Barge
From Wednesday 26 April, you can start planning ahead as a road carrier and barge operator. You can submit prenotifications with an ETA from 07:00 a.m. on Monday 1 May ahead of time. These prenotifications will be buffered. As soon as the new terminal system is up and running, your prenotifications will be processed and you will receive feedback on all your prenotifications.

Customs documentation via Portbase
In order to be able to connect to HCN Road and Barge, the terminal is switching to a new TOS, which means the terminal will be operationally closed from 10:00 p.m. on Friday 28 April 2023 until 7:00 a.m. on Monday 1 May 2023 for the land side, and from 11:30 p.m. on Friday 28 April 2023 until 7:00 a.m. on Monday 1 May 2023 for the water side. This means no containers can be delivered or collected.

During the replacement of the TOS, it will temporarily not be possible to prenotify customs documents to Broekman Distriport. You can continue to submit Notification Export Documentation and Notification Import Documentation notifications. Messages will not processed during the closure of the terminal, but will be buffered. Once the system is up and running, NID and NED notifications will be processed.

Notification Import Documentation & Notification Export Documentation
You have been able to notify all your customs documents to Broekman Distriport via the Portbase services Notification Import Documentation (NID) and Notification Export Documentation (NED) for some time. Prenotification of documents is mandatory for all shipments. After the corresponding customs document has been prenotified digitally via Portbase, you can pick up and deliver your containers.
